Switch Between AC and DC Voltages

The following applies to these APMs:

The APM continually looks at the input and will automatically switch between AC and DC voltages.

If the APM detects an AC voltage (both positive and negative) it will automatically switch to AC mode and calculate and display the true RMS voltage.

If the APM detects no positive or negative voltages, it will assume that the input is DC and display the average voltage.
