Use the 7111 Counter with a Water Meter

A standard water meter will output a dry contact pulse every 1, 10, 100 gallons, depending on the water meter that you are using. If you don't know the specifications of your water meter, please contact your supplier. 

Wire the dry contact output of the water meter to pins 2 and 6 of the 7111. Since this is dry contact wiring, there is no need to worry about polarity. Each pulse will be counted as a 1 count on the 7111 meter.
